just some goofing around in my mind, enjoy

picture this/ a perfect romance/ moon peekin through the stars on a perfect night slow dance/ a never a cloud in the sky/ or a tear drop on your pillow/ or a tock on your clock hitting midnight life/ picture this/ picture me and you/ catching eachothers glances as we walk in opposite directions on parallel sides of the street/ we stop and stare/ and maybe i'll throw a flick of my wrist near my hair so it could fly to the side/ you know, like the movies do/ but still you smile/ you step down from the curb to the tar covered street/ the cars move slower and the birds go mute/ the world holds it's breathe as the wind becomes motionless/ i see your brown eyes/ or green eyes/ or hazel/ or whatever color eyes/ holding onto my sillouette/ i play with my hair a little more/ nerves taking control of my fingers have me twirling my strands like i'm two/ i clear my throat and i open my mouth/ cuz i swear that my thoughts just formulated into words out of my mouth/ but maybe i just daydreamed for a minute/ still silence tiptoes around us/ until your feet hit my side of the street with a beat/ and i catch you singin your song to me/ talkin bout i don't know your name but excuse me miss/ i saw you from across the street/ your lips move aside showing me your pearly whites/ and i feel like i can't breathe/ i put my hand out to see what your about and all of a sudden i flash back to life and realize the childish lie that my mind just played on me/ cuz the unknown colored eye guy/ that across the street walkin fine guy/ had already walked a good distance from me/ so/ so much for the picture this or that/ my nerves so shook i can't move to you so i fall back/ walking away to tomorrow with the what ifs on my mind/ waitin for the clock to rewind back to two minutes before 1-2/ before the fairytale ended and my dreams were real/ guess i'll never know about me and you/ picture that/
