when i look into the mirror what do i see?
I see someone destroyed from the inside
I see a broken heart patched up with broken glass, sticks, and vines.
I see tears begging to unwind
I see hope dripping from my eyes
I see my pain overcome by cries
I see my cries overcoming my life
when i look into the mirror what do i see?
I see a thorn sticking on a vine
I see someone beaten up by life, by surprise
I see unforgiving eyes desperate for one good moment to arrive
I see my eyes lowered from the sky
I see my hopes falling over time
when i look into the mirror what do i see?
I see a canary buried in a mine
I see a diamond rusted overtime
I see every ounce of myself falling through a nearly destroyed line
I see a sheep in a fox's hide
I see a girl who feels dead eventhough she's alive

I'm not too sure how this goes. If pain has overcome your cries, how is that your cries overcome your life when your life is the source of what you see?
"I see a girl who feels dead eventhough she's alive"
This line right here is very powerful. To be dreaming, yet still awake; to be alive and yet be dead....hmmmmm....indeed this emotion I know well.
Very deep poem that shows the ugliness we see from the results of our endeavors. This is the reality that is on the other side of the moon. Let us hope our emotion similar to this doesn't overshadow all. In the end, will we ever know ourselves? Many of nights I’m still puzzled by the looks from the eyes of the mirror. It is scary to think, but think I must.
